St Leonards
Dramatic “Boat Prow” Balcony

The existing two-storey house had a dark and formidable Dutch-gabled roof and large amounts of dark-brown face brick walls. It completely ignored its site, in particular the fabulous views over The Rip and Bass Straight.
To maximize the potential of these views, the First Floor of the existing house was completely replaced, and the house totally reorganized; turning it ‘upside down’ so that the Living Room, Kitchen, Dining and Master Suite occupied the new upper level. A new lift was also incorporated in the house serving all levels – including the (existing) basement Garage.
